Volunteering on Coronation Bank Holiday-8th May 2023
Two days after his coronation, King Charles is encouraging us all to get out and do our bit for our local communities as volunteers on May 8th.
If you’d be prepared to give an hour (or more!) of your time between 10am and 4pm on that day to help St. Leonard’s, then we would love to see you.
OUTDOORS we’re going to be renovating the gravel path and tidying up the churchyard. Please bring spades, rakes, wheelbarrows ,secateurs, loppers etc. (has anyone got a small roller?) if you can, but chiefly bring YOURSELF!
INDOORS it is time to give the church a good spring clean. Again, bring dusters, brushes, polish, cleaning materials etc. if you can – but otherwise just turn up.
or … Just come along and see what’s going on.
Refreshments, tea and coffee will be on offer (including hot dogs around noon) plus a children’s quiz and someone to share some stories and point out interesting things about your village church. Come along and get involved!
